Admissions Committee
Next, the Admissions Committee evaluates your completed application/portfolio. An important component of this committee is the Professor representing your chosen degree program. Other members of the committee are the Dean, Registrar/Director of Student Services and your Admissions Advisor.

Personalized Degree Program Evaluation
Your application/portfolio receives special attention from the assigned faculty member who evaluates your transcripts and documents. The professor carefully plans an individualized program of study based on your education and experience.
This Degree Program Evaluation reflects your needs and interests and specifically outlines the DCU courses you will be required to complete.

International Students
Delaware City University has students from all across the world. Our online courses make it easy to earn your degree from any location. If you live outside of the United States there are specific admission requirements. The international students section contains the requirements for international students

Transfer Credits
DCU University welcomes students that have earned college credits from other institutions. During the application process students can provide us with the credits they would like to transfer. Please visit the transfer credits section to learn more about the process.

Transfer Credit Qualifications
Professional Associate’s degree
Associate’s degree requirement is the equivalent of 60 credit hours. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for transfer credits at the undergraduate level. Subject to evaluation and confirmation, students may be awarded a maximum of 30 transfer credits toward DCU 60-credit associate’s level programs.

Professional Bachelor's Degree and Completion Programs
Bachelor's degree requirement is the equivalent of 120 credit hours. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for transfer credits at the undergraduate level. Subject to evaluation and confirmation, students may be awarded a maximum of 90 transfer credits toward DCU 120-credit bachelor's level programs, and 30 transfer credits to ward DCU 60-credit bachelor's level completion programs.

Professional Master's Degree Programs
Master’s degree requirement is the equivalent of 36 credit hours. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for transfer credits at the master’s degree level. Subject to evaluation and confirmation, students may transfer a maximum of 18 credits toward DCU 36 credit master’s degree programs. Exceptions include:

Professional Doctorate Degree Programs
Doctorate Degree program requirement is the equivalent to 60 credit hours exceeding the master’s level. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for transfer credits at the graduate level. Subject to evaluation and confirmation, students may transfer a maximum of 9 credits toward the 60 credit doctorate program.

Portfolio Credit
Prior Experiential Learning (Portfolio Credit) is any learning experience that took place outside of a college or university course and that did not earn academic degree credit. Up to 25% of credits toward an DCU degree program can come from a combination of Portfolio or Life Experience Credit.

Application for Admissions
Submission of the application requires a one time, non-refundable, $75.00 application fee per degree program.
