The College of Engineering and Information Technology offers online Bachelor, Master and Doctoral of Science in Engineering degrees with electives in computer, electrical, environmental, mechanical engineering, and online Bachelor degrees in computer science and quality assurance science. At the undergraduate level, basic sciences and general engineering are highlighted to help a student evolve into a well-rounded engineer with strengths in the area of his/her choice. At the graduate level, students and faculty work closely together to choose a discipline that complements the individual's work environment.

For example, a computer engineering student could specialize in microprocessors or switching theory; an electrical engineering student could specialize in electronics power distribution, control systems or communications; an environmental engineering student could specialize in hazardous waste management, transport phenomena, or air pollution control; a mechanical engineering student could specialize in thermodynamics or mechanical design; a computer science student could specialize in advanced computer architecture or programming languages; and a quality assurance student could specialize in quality management or software reliability.

Professional Bachelor Degree Programs

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

The engineering programs at the undergraduate levels are designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in these fields. Graduates are expected to possess sufficient knowledge to achieve professional certification (e.g., registration as a Professional Engineer), if they choose to do so.

Bachelor of Computer Science

The Bachelor program objective is to provide a formal body of knowledge for students interested in careers in the ever-evolving computer industry. The curriculum includes a foundation in basic sciences, which includes courses related to both software and hardware fundamentals, and selected electives to allow students to specialize in areas of their interest.

Bachelor of Quality Assurance Science

The BQAS degree program objective is to prepare the individual to be able to manage, plan, procure, design, and maintain an effective Quality Assurance Program within a company.

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

A mechanical engineering degree is for you if you are interested in drawing from multiple scientific disciplines to solve real-world problems in industries like manufacturing, biomedical engineering, petroleum engineering, and more. Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest engineering fields and incorporates complex concepts from physics, materials science, thermodynamics, and electricity. Master of Science in Engineering

Master of Computer Engineering

Through an online Master of Computer Engineering program, participants explore methods for improving the performance of computers, making computers secure and creating software applications. Computer engineering programs may be offered in conjunction with electrical engineering and feature concentrations, such as network engineering. Most programs require that applicants have a background in computer science or computer engineering through the completion of a bachelor's degree program. Students with undergraduate work in other areas may have to complete prerequisite courses.

Master of Computer Science

An online Master of computer science provides students with an opportunity to expand both their education and career prospects. Specializations in this field range from hardware theory to program design. Some professionals work on multidisciplinary projects, such as virtual reality and human-computer interaction.

Master of Electrical Engineering

Online electrical engineering master programs explore power systems, signal processing and nanoelectronics. Online Master of Engineering Management programs feature core business management coursework similar to that of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program but with a technical focus. Generally, students must have a bachelor's degree, and most programs require that it be in engineering or a related scientific discipline. Some programs admit students with a degree in an area other than engineering provided they have relevant experience and complete prerequisite courses.

Master of Mechanical Engineering

Master's degree programs in mechanical engineering are available entirely online. Graduate programs provide advanced knowledge and skills in specialized areas within the field and prepare students for careers.

Master of Quality Assurance Science

Doctoral of Information Technology

This program is designed for students who have either an undergraduate or master’s degree in a technical field or a master’s degree in a nontechnical field combined with three or more years of relevant IT work experience.
If you have completed a master’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, management information systems, computer information systems, and computer/software engineering within the past 10 years, you may also be eligible to transfer up to six courses that can save you time and tuition.
